About the Role
As a Communications & Content Associate, you will support a wide range of client projects and internal initiatives. You’ll monitor government and media developments, assist with content creation and events, and contribute to the strategic and creative thinking that drives our work.
This is an ideal role for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is highly organized, digitally fluent, and passionate about the intersection of public policy, communication, and social impact. You might even have some experience working or volunteering on events or marketing campaigns.
About the work
- Draft media materials, social media content, briefing notes, memos, and other materials for internal and client use
- Monitor and summarize media coverage, including daily news scans
- Support event and project coordination
- Support meeting preparation
- Participate in brainstorming and strategy sessions
- Research and analyze public policy, government announcements, and industry trends
- Track political, legislative, and regulatory developments at all levels of government
- Use digital tools (including AI tools) to support content creation, design, and client work
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field—or equivalent experience
- Relevant experience, which could include internships and volunteer roles, in addition to work experience
- Demonstrated interest in public affairs, strategic communications, and marketing
Skills We Value
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with the core sectors in which we operate
- Working knowledge of Canva or similar platforms and the ability to use a variety of tools
- Proficiency with major social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram)

About the Role
As a Graphic Designer, you will support the visual side of our client and internal communications work. You’ll take ideas, information, and messaging and turn them into clear, engaging visual materials across digital and print formats.
You’ll work closely with members of our communications and public affairs team to develop creative skills that are not only visually strong, but also purposeful and aligned with each campaign’s objectives.
This is an ideal role for a designer who is creative, organized, comfortable working independently, and able to take directions while bringing their own ideas to the table.
About the work
- Design static and paid social media graphics for campaigns and initiatives
- Create event marketing materials and supporting creative assets
- Develop ad hoc creative assets for clients and internal initiatives
- Adapt creative concepts and designs for different platforms, formats, and audiences
- Translate messaging and ideas into clear and engaging visual communications
- Work within Winston Wilmont’s brand guidelines and individual client brand guidelines
- Collaborate with the communications and public affairs team to develop and execute creative concepts
- Make revisions based on feedback and ensure final materials are polished, accurate, and on brand
- Prepare creative assets for digital and print use as required
- Use digital design tools, including AI tools where appropriate, to support the creative process
Qualifications
- Formal education in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or a related field—or equivalent experience
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design work
- Demonstrated ability to translate ideas and information into effective visual communications
- Experience designing for social media and digital platforms
Skills We Value
- Strong visual design, typography, and layout skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
- Ability to work within established brand guidelines while bringing creativity to the work
